He went into a coma during surgery due to blood loss and brain damage. The problem was, Sean Taylor never woke up from that come. He was pronounced dead at 3:30 AM on November 27, 2007.The victim of a heinous act,Taylor was born April Fools Day in 1938, in Miami, Florida. He verbally committed to the University Of Miami after a great high school career at running back and safety. His freshman year he was mainly used in nickel and dime formations and was a star on special teams. Taylor won "Big East Special Teams Player Of The Week" against Pittsburgh. The team won the National Championship that year.In his sophomore year, he had 85 tackles (53 solo), broke up 15 passes, intercepted 4 passes, forced 1 fumble, blocked 1 kick, and returned a punt for a touchdown. In the National Championship this year, he had 2 picks with 11 tackles, a career high. His final year in college, Sean Taylor was a finalist for every award a safety can win.
He won the "Big East Defensive Player Of The Year" award and was a top 3 finisher for the Thorpe award. After this amazing season, Sean Taylor decided to go pro. He was selected fifth overall, by the Washington Redskins. His unfortunately brief NFL career was a great one. Known as one of the hardest hitters to play the game, Taylor earned the nickname "meast"- half man, half beast- for his ferocious hits on opponents. His 2006 season was his mostmemorable, as "Meast" made the Pro Bowl, and started, after his career season. Now that we are two years, exactly, from his death, we remember him for the contributions he made to the game of football and the community There's a lesson in this somewhere, though, for all of us. We use the sports expression "leave it all out on the field." And that's what you have to do, just "leave it all out on the field." It's sad to me, because Sean Taylor was a life that was just too short He had so much more of his life left to live.

It's just a shame. But Sean Taylor left it all out on the field He died with few regrets and he died a happy man That's all you can ask for in your life. He will be missed by all, not just his fans, but everyone who loves football because, Sean Taylor was thedefinition of how to play football: Give it all you got, and never give up..
